I thought I got it all
Argh!! More maternity shirts!
Why kept: I loved them, I might wear them again but they don't fit. Out of sight
How long kept: 5 years and 1 year. But in between pregnancies I did share the pink one. The blue one was new last year

Shirts (Saturday's post)
What: a few very wearable shirts
Last used: various -- one I hardly ever wore, another is too big and the other one I just don't like as much anymore

Slipping away
What: well loved slippers
Last used: just the other week
Why kept: they might be useful and out of sight (they slipped under my bed)
Destination: after picking up little piece of plastic, I decided it was time to retire this pair of slippers
Confession: I have three more pairs. Sometimes when I can find a matched pair, I just wear what I find. My favorite pair right now are a pair of ballet slipper type that have a jolly roger on them. They keep my socks dry after the Wonderdog drools her water all over the kitchen floor. Thanks Mom :)
Argh!! I cleaned off my camera phone and deleted this photo of my purple fuzzy slippers!! I loved these slippers! *sigh* Another casualty of "M" retrograde

Holy moly - adios more old cosmetics
What: nail polishes, powder and lip balm
Origins: various. The powder I know was from the 90s
Last used: these shades of polish, probably the earlier part of this century. I tend to use more conservative colors, like the big apple red I'm getting on the keys here because I just painted my nails. I stay away from the blues, greens and purples now that I'm older
Why kept: out of sight, storage boxes are evil and I might need them. Last year I did use the blue and green to decorate my tootsies
Destination: sadly they are going in the trash
I hope I can get the red off my b, h, g and space bar tomorrow ( a q-tip and nail polish remover worked great!)
Update: My friend "Q" wanted them for her little one and we have 10 happy little piggies

No longer holding up my junk
What: black leather belt.
Last used: pre 2005.
Origin: I lost a ton of weight in the late 90s. It held up many pants for me.
Why kept: I might wear it again, out of sight.
Destination: freecycle free for all pile.
Sorry I don't mean to be short, it has been a few crazy days here during the Wolf Moon.

Hairly motivated!

What: hair clips and pony tail holders
Last used: um way long time ago some never. I searched my Freecycle group for my post. The last time I culled the hair holder herd was June of 2007. I've been keeping my hair shorter so these won't work for me
Why kept: out of sight, out of my hair. I might wear them again
Destination: since the hair clips are clean and I've never used the holders, I am putting them in the give away pile. They will probably go to the free-4-all
Confession: I kept some regular elastic pony hail holders. I'll try to remember to look at them in 6 month. After that they should be history, yes?
Update: A friend of mine has little girls that can use the ponytail holders. I will share them with her on Sunday :-)

Totally unsupportive!
What: Barely too small used nusing bras.
Origin: Kohls.com in October. They get the photo credit. This is NOT me.
Last used: last week.
Why kept: they're Perfectly Good. They might fit/wear again Actually, these exited my house rather quickly. I decided why store totally uncomfortable underwear!!!! OUT!

It's Not Time for Chinese New Year Yet
What: Fairly gently used chinese slippers.
Origin: Another "saw them in a magazine", in an article about lower Manhattan's Pearl River.
Usage: A bit after I bought them, since then I've been stacking and unstacking them in my closet.
How long kept: I probably bought them in 2001. Haven't worn them in years, maybe since 2001 or 2002.
Why kept: Out of Sight, Out of Mind, and I Might Wear Them Again (see confession).
Destination: Housing Works Thrift store (with some other stuff).
Confession: When I got rid of the bag of shoes last month, I kept a few things that should have gone. I actually threw these, and another pair of slippers in the laundry. After washing them, I almost put them back in the closet to never wear them again. But I gave them the boot before I even made it to the closet.
Will I ever wear the other slippers? Stay Tuned. D'oh.
