"This grungy (as opposed to "seasoned") 10" skillet was a hand-me-down that was supposed to just be a back-up to a better frying pan I have which is heavier and larger, and thus stored under this one. So, lazy cook that I am, I'd always reach for this, and I cringe to think how many teflon flakes have bonded with the burnt garlic over the last 10 years.
I've already placed an ebay bid on a brand new All-Clad (fingers crossed!) and this one is now sitting out in the snow, out of its element, ready for the metal bin at the dump, and hopefully back into the fire. And not a landfill."
