Good bye TV

This TV served us well but it was HUGE. It took up a lot of real estate in our family room
What: 50" TV. Actually was about 4' tall and 2' deep
How long kept: I think it came into the house in 2003. It's been unplugged since Black Friday when we got an LCD tv.
Destination: to a friend's daughter. It's getting tied down on the truck as I type :) WOOT!!!!!

Wow we just gained about 12 sq feet in out family room. Now we have a place for our Christmas tree!! :)

Crafty & cross stitch items

Confession: I got this on freecycle on Sunday night. Did I *need* it?? No!!!! It might be useful
What: Approximately 5 lb. Bag of cross stitch and craft Material
Origin: Freecycle
How long kept: less than 3 days woot!
Why : it could be useful.
Dest: another Freecycle member who picked it up promptly!

I'm most proud for getting it out of the house so fast and I didn't want this to be out of site out of mind. I took out a little quart-size ziplock bag and re-freecycled. It took up about 1.5 square feet in my family room for 2 days until it went to the porch :). I have many projects I want to work on. Included in the bag was a baby blanket that was so cuuuute! But I realize that I have enough on my list that I didn't need to take on someone else's unfinished project. I also didn't look through all the piles of charts. But I did find a family history for the person that gave it to me. I didn't read it, just read the first few lines. It wasn't my business nor was it of interest to me as it wasn't my family :) I emailed her and she was very grateful to have it back.

Losing baby weight!

What: about 30 pounds of maternity clothes
Origin: Stores, hand-me-downs
How long: some since 2005, some summer of 2009
Why kept: just had a baby about a month ago.
Destination: to my sister in law.
Bonus: reclaimed closet space!!! Woot!!!!

Additonal bonus: I feel like the baby weight has been lifted. I took off the "Might Need It" Tag because I know we will not have a need for maternity clothes :-) I added "nostalgia" because there were some shirts that I absolutely LOVED.

Confession: I have kept a few shirts thinking that I can still wear them. I don't think they make me look preggers :-)

M's first thing

I received some hand-me-down baby clothes from some wonderful friends. Thing 2 grew out of them already. I've filled a grocery bag full and it is awaiting Amvets. It's only been in the house less than 5 weeks. WOOT!
