These have been stashed in the basement for a while (the bamboo shoots probably date back to Brooklyn), and as I try to recall 1950s fallout shelter suggested inventory-- itemized in "Duck and Cover" Nuclear Defense Council booklets that were tucked next to my Nancy Drews--I don't think any of these items were listed. Spam, yes. Sake...no. All went down the drain--except the bamboo shoots that joined the general garbage. Containers recycled, of course. I have 6 other types of hot sauce in the kitchen pantry, so I'm still set for the next catfish sautee."
